Welcome
Welcome to the GRRC
The GRRC was formed in 2025 as the representative body for graduate researchers across the five departments of the Melbourne School of Health Sciences (MSHS).
As the GRRC committee, we are passionate about improving the experience, engagement and wellbeing of graduate researchers by:
- Advising the MSHS leadership on graduate researchers’ issues and concerns
- Advocating on key issues raised by students
- Disseminating information and resources
- Organising graduate research events (such as the MSHS Graduate Research Colloquium)
MSHS Graduate Research Colloquium
The Graduate Research Colloquium is an annual, student-run conference where MSHS graduate researchers gather to share their research, attend professional development workshops, and network with students and colleagues across departments. All graduate researchers currently enrolled in the MSHS (e.g., PhD, MPhil, research masters) are eligible to submit an abstract for the Colloquium.
Colloquium 2026
The next Colloquium will be held on Thursday, 19 October 2026. If you would like to join the Colloquium Organising Subcommittee of the GRRC, please contact us via mshs-grrc@unimelb.edu.au.
Abstract submission is now open! Please visit the Colloquium 2026 for more details:

MSHS Graduate Research Survey
In 2026, we will send out the MSHS Graduate Research Survey to anonymously capture the priorities and concerns of MSHS graduate researchers. Your participation in this survey will help develop student-centred support programs, and inform our understanding of the student experience from graduate researcher enrolment to 12-months following completion. Collected student experiences will be collated and communicated to staff and leadership representatives, amplifing diverse student voices and ensuring equity across departments and schools. Keep an eye on your email as this survey will be released late 2026.
