About
This study is testing the effects of different off the shelf shoes on kneecap joint forces in adolescents. Eligible participants will be asked to complete a running assessment, questionnaire, and strength test at our biomechanical lab in Carlton. Eligible participants must be:
- are aged between 12 - 19 years old;
- either have kneecap pain or no musculoskeletal pain
- can attend a two-hour testing session at The University of Melbourne

Footwear for kneecap forces was designed and developed by researchers (Samual Kayll, Patrick Rowe, A/Prof Adam Bryant, A/Prof Kade Paterson, Prof Rana Hinman and Prof Kim Bennell) at The University of Melbourne.
