Nursing Event Series 2025

Nursing at Melbourne: 2025 Seminar Series

Our Event Series

The Department of Nursing, The University of Melbourne is delighted to announce the continuation of our public event series. The 2025 Nursing Event Series is partnered with Peter MacCallum Cancer Centre, The Royal Children’s Hospital, The Royal Melbourne Hospital and The Royal Women’s Hospital.

Ensuring equitable access to safe and high-quality healthcare is fundamental to the performance of our health system and excellent patient outcomes. Nurses, positioned at the crossroads of primary, community, and acute health services, play a pivotal role in navigating timely access and advocating for system improvements to meet the diverse needs of all individuals seeking healthcare.

We have called this year’s series

Purpose

  2. Consider: optimising nurses' scope of practice and workforce to deliver safe, person-centred complex care and improve access, safety, and quality for all.
  3. Foster: networks and collaboration among nurses, consumers, researchers, and students through evidence and experiences, addressing workforce challenges, digital health, and positioning nurses to lead impactful healthcare change.
