Watch Recording - Unpacking the National Nursing Workforce Strategy
On Thursday 16 October, The University of Melbourne's Department of Nursing hosted the final event in the 2025 Nursing Seminar Series at the Peter MacCallum Cancer Centre. The event was made possible in partnership with The Royal Children's Hospital, The Royal Melbourne Hospital and The Royal Women's Hospital.
The seminar focused on the future workforce and growth in metro, regional, and specialist health services featuring presentations from Karrie Long, Megan Hoffmann, Kath Cruickshanks, and Leanne Shea. The seminar also looked at the National Nursing Workforce Strategy that established priorities to guide Australian nursing workforce now and into the future.
The event was designed for health professionals, educators, researchers, and students seeking to deepen their understanding of nursing workforce planning for the future.
