Dr Nicole Sheers awarded a FightMND grant

BEST congratulates Dr Nicole Sheers on her success in receiving a FightMND Care Support Grant.

With support from the grant, Dr Sheers is leading a national education program, Resp-Ed, to improve respiratory care for people with motor neurone disease (MND). The Resp-Ed program has three connected parts targeted at health professionals across Australia:·

  • 15 online self-paced learning modules for respiratory knowledge and skills
  • Hands-on workshops in every Australian state
  • Pilot of an online community of practice for health professionals
