Nursing Event Series 2024
This year, the Department of Nursing, The University of Melbourne and Peter MacCallum Cancer Centre are excited to announce the continuation of our co-hosted public event series. The 2024 Nursing Event Series will continue on from last year’s theme, exploring the concept of equitable health care.
Nursing Event Series 2023
The Department of Nursing is delighted to announce the continuation of their Seminar Series. This year, the Department will co-host a public event series with Peter MacCallum Cancer Centre that will explore the concept of equitable health care and the critical role that nurses play in closing the equity gap.

In 2022, the Department of Nursing hosted four events featuring eminent nurse colleagues whose research is making a positive contribution to health outcomes.
25 Years of Nursing at the University of Melbourne
To celebrate 25 years of Nursing in 2021, the Department of Nursing celebrated the central role nurses play as leaders and members of multidisciplinary teams in designing and delivering healthcare. This event series featured nurse leaders who have made positive contributions to knowledge generation, patient and family outcomes and health system.
The Australian Nursing and Midwifery History Project
The ANMHP aims to:
- increase the profile of nursing and midwifery history in the community
- ensure that historically important nursing and midwifery resources are identified, conserved, and accessible.
