Nursing Event Series 2024
Nursing at Melbourne: 2024 Seminar Series
Our Event Series
This year, the Department of Nursing, The University of Melbourne and Peter MacCallum Cancer Centre are excited to announce the continuation of our co-hosted public event series. The 2024 Nursing Event Series will continue on from last year’s theme, exploring the concept of equitable health care.
Ensuring equitable access to healthcare is not just a measure of safety and quality; it is fundamental to the performance of our health system. Nurses, positioned at the crossroads of primary, community, and acute health services, play a pivotal role in navigating timely access and advocating for system improvements to meet the diverse needs of all individuals seeking healthcare.
We have called this year’s series
Expanding Scope of Practice in Nursing:
Evidence and Experiences from the Field
Purpose
Our four-part series aims to:

- Consider: approaches to optimising nurses' scope of practice, unlocking better access to healthcare for all.
