REPAIR Stroke Recovery Research Group Represents in Europe
A/Prof Kate Hayward, Dr Natalie Fini and Dr Emily Dalton from the REPAIR Stroke Recovery Research Group in the Department of Physiotherapy presented at the European Stroke Organisation Conference (ESOC) in Helsinki, Finland via teaching courses, oral presentations, and posters. This included the international release of the PISCES-ZODIAC Phase IIb trial that tested a zoom-based exercise intervention after stroke,
Following ESOC, the group represented stroke recovery at the UoM – University of Calgary Stroke Think Tank where exciting collaborations were forged between the two universities across acute, recovery and biostatistics teams working in stroke.
Dr Natalie Fini also presented two posters at the Congress on NeuroRehabilitation and Neural Repair in Maastricht, the Netherlands and won third prize in the best poster competition.
The group’s research focuses on early phase adaptive trials to make breakthroughs in stroke recovery, the forefront of stroke research globally.
