MSHS Implementation Research Group's hub and spoke model
Interest in implementation science is growing quickly, within the Melbourne School of Health Sciences (MSHS) and beyond. The MSHS Implementation Research Group has developed a ‘hub and spoke’ model to build capacity and facilitate peer support in implementation science.
The MSHS Implementation Research Group is the ‘hub’ that drives and links all the ‘spokes’, including a group of alumni from our teaching subjects ‘Implementation Science in Theory’ and ‘Implementation Science in Practice’, emerging researchers and the policy and applied group.
Although the aims of the spoke groups vary, at their core is peer support to facilitate learning from each other.
The team is planning to develop three new ‘spokes’ over the coming year: a Low- or Middle-Income Country (LMIC) group, a clinician researchers’ group and one that is sport focused.
