MSHS academics recognised as the most cited scientists globally

Congratulations to the twenty-nine academic staff members from the School of Health Sciences who have been recognised on the Stanford/Elsevier Top 2% Scientists list of most-cited researchers in the world.

The annual list celebrates researchers who are leading their fields through their citation impact and who have made significant contributions to their domains of expertise. The list is developed with data from Elsevier’s Scopus database and updated to the end of 2023, identifying the top 100,000 researchers across various disciplines based on a composite citation score. The ranking evaluates the influence of research through citations, as well as co-authorship and author order. The Stanford/Elsevier analysis is considered one of the most comprehensive global evaluations of scientific impact.

This recognition reflects the dedication, teamwork and high standards of Melbourne School of Health Sciences researchers and teams, showcasing the school’s commitment to creating meaningful impact across multiple allied health and nursing fields.
