The Department of Audiology and Speech Pathology is pleased to share that A/Prof Kelley Graydon, the Master of Clinical Audiology Course Coordinator, has been appointed to the board of UsherKids Australia. This appointment brings together Kelley's extensive experience in paediatric audiology with the organisation's mission to support children and families affected by Usher syndrome, a rare genetic disorder associated with hearing loss and progressive vision loss.
Kelley is uniquely positioned to enhance student learning opportunities in genetic hearing disorders by creating a closer connection between the Audiology teaching program and the mission of UsherKids Australia. This collaboration bridges clinical teaching with real-world applications, potentially leading to novel research and improved services for families affected by Usher syndrome.
