Melbourne School of Health Sciences (MSHS) Graduate Research Colloquium 2025

Time: 9am – 5pm (Registration: 8:30am; Social event: 5pm-7pm)
Location: The Spot (Building 110), University of Melbourne Parkville Campus

This event aims to promote awareness of research topics and methodologies across different departments, fostering greater understanding and collaboration within the school. Presentations from MSHS graduate researchers will be delivered through a variety of engaging formats, including conference presentations (8-minute presentation + 2 min question time), three-minute talks (3MT style + 2-minute question time) and poster presentations.
Attendance is mandatory for all MSHS graduate researchers.
All confirmed MSHS graduate researchers are additionally required to present their work. This includes PhD and MPhil candidates who are more than one year or six months full-time equivalent into their degrees, respectively. Graduate researchers that have not been confirmed are also welcome to present. Departments involved: Optometry and Vision Sciences, Audiology and Speech Pathology, Nursing, Physiotherapy, and Social Work.
This is an on-campus only event, with morning and afternoon tea and lunch provided.
All members of the School of Health Sciences are encouraged to attend, making it an ideal occasion to explore innovative research, gain insight from experts, and build meaningful connections.

If you wish to submit an abstract, please read and follow the abstract submission guidelines.
Abstract submission deadline: Monday, 15 September 11:59pm AEDT. No late submissions will be accepted.

The Spot (Building 110) is located at 198 Berkeley St, on the corner of Pelham St. It is a purpose-built teaching and research centre that services the staff and students of the Faculty of Business and Economics.

Implementation Science World Cafe
Attendees will have the exciting opportunity to sign up for the Implementation Science workshop, which will be held during the Colloquium. Experts from the MSHS Implementation Research Group, A/Prof Stephanie Best and Dr. Marlena Klaic, will be sharing strategies to help you translate your research into healthcare practice and public health policies.
