Using AI to enhance patient care and make nursing visible

Could the use of artificial intelligence enhance patient care by creating efficiencies and redirecting the time saved to therapeutic communication with patients and their families? To answer this question, nurses need to understand the problems we are trying to solve and how we can harness data to inform solutions.

On 18 March 2026, a panel of experts leading digital transformation across the precinct discussed the opportunities, challenges and responsibilities for nurses when leveraging AI to enhance patient care.

This event was chaired by Dr Sophie Jones, who was joined by panellists Kirsten Davidson, Dr Kit Huckvale, Adrian Hutchinson, Rebecca Lewin, Antonela Vogranic and Grant Wallace.
