MSHS at Dreamtime at the G' 2024

A group of 65 MSHS community member including staff, students, and their friends and family, attended the Dreamtime at the ‘G AFL game between Richmond and Essendon, on Saturday 25 May, to mark National Reconciliation Week.

Before the game, the MSHS group gathered at Yarra Park, where the 20th anniversary of The Long Walk was celebrated – marking two decades since AFL legend Michael Long walked from his house in Melbourne to Parliament House in Canberra to raise money in support of Indigenous education programs across the country.

It was a wonderful opportunity to gather as a School community, enjoy each other’s company in a social setting and reflect on the need for all Australians to learn about our shared histories and contribute to reconciliation in Australia.
