Seeing Beyond Lecture Series

The Department of Optometry and Vision Sciences' Seeing Beyond Lecturer Series held on Wednesday evening April 20th was enthusiastically supported by over 100 optometrists, many of whom were alumni of the University of Melbourne.

The full house heard about the latest research advances in clinical visual field assessment from Professor Allison McKendrick, as well as novel insights into the pathogenesis of glaucoma from Associate Professor Bang Bui. This evening provided attendees with research focused discussion of ideas on the cusp of clinical translation. Attendees received continuing professional education points for attendance, along with additional points for completing assessment. It will hopefully be the first of many opportunities to showcase the research strengths of the department.
