Royal Commission into Institutional Responses to Child Sexual Abuse research symposium

Following the first Royal Commission research symposium in Sydney last October, a second research symposium on creating child safe institutions will be held in Melbourne on Monday 1 May 2017.

TIME: 9:00am – 12:30pm including morning tea. Registration from 8:30am.

This symposium will share findings from three research reports published by the Royal Commission titled Key elements of child safe organisations – research study, Safe and sound: Exploring the safety of young people in residential care and Disability and child sexual abuse in institutional contexts, available to download here.

Commissioner Justice Coate will introduce the symposium. Dr Kylie Valentine, Professor Morag McArthur, Dr Tim Moore and Professor Gwynnyth Llewellyn will present findings from the research and there will be the opportunity for Q&A.
