Post-traumatic growth

A presentation of research exploring post-traumatic growth, informed by people involved with the 2009 Black Saturday bushfires.

Rhonda Abotomey and the team warmly invite you to join us for this presentation of research exploring post-traumatic growth, informed by people involved with the 2009 Black Saturday bushfires.

Our response to trauma can be complex, including negative and positive change, and frequently both. The positive change is formally termed 'post-traumatic growth'.

Through exposure to stories of positive transformation, we can come to understand the welcome, and sometimes surprising, ways that people may develop from direct or vicarious trauma.

Relevant to all hazards, this capacity building event supports individual and community trauma recovery and preparedness.

Please view the invite for further details.

Please note that this is a by invitation only event.
