American Thoracic Society Early Career Achievement Award and Lung Foundation Australia/A Menarini Australia Travel Grant

Newly appointed Dr Rebecca Disler recently received a 2017 American Thoracic Society Early Career Achievement Award for outstanding contributions relevant to nursing in the areas of research, clinical care, teaching, and/or service focused on patient and family responses related to pulmonary conditions early in her career.

Dr Disler was also the recipient of the Lung Foundation Australia/A Menarini Australia Travel Grant, funded to provide key health professionals in Australia who work with patients with chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD) the opportunity to attend and present at premier international conferences. Dr Disler’s presented at the American Thoracic Society conference on Cognitive Impairment in COPD in a key symposium Comorbidities in COPD: Greater than the sum of the parts.
