VMIAC Lifetime Achievement Award

On Friday night at the Inaugural Victorian Mental Illness Awareness Council (VMIAC) Awards which marked the 20th anniversary of the beginnings of the consumer workforce, Dr Cath Roper was awarded the highest honour, “Lifetime Achievement Award”, for her contribution to mental health.

VMIAC is the peak Victorian non-government organisation for people with lived experience of mental health issues. This first ever Awards Night was held at the finale to Mental Health Week, to honour significant consumer contributions in the mental health space, both paid and voluntary capacity.
